Experience
I am a recent grad from Duke University with a degree in Economics and Finance. I have had a variety of teaching experiences, from tutoring a friend in high school math to teaching English and American culture at a summer camp in China. During my time at Duke, I also tutored at local elementary and middle school students in math and literacy as my work study job for 3 years. Through these experiences, I believe that I have developed an effective and accommodating teaching style that can be tailored to fit whatever needs a student may have. My coursework at Duke included classes in Accounting, Corporate Finance, Economics, Statistics, French, and Tennis. In addition to these subjects, I am also available to tutor in SAT/ACT and AP test prep, any level of math up to Calculus II, Chinese, and ESL. I have always been proficient in math throughout middle school and high school, and my major at Duke has also been very math intensive. During high school, I prepared for the ACT on my own and was able get a score of 35. I also was able to obtain full scores on multiple AP and SAT II exams. I would be available to tutor anywhere, whether that is in home, at a coffee shop, or online. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve success in your pursuits!
